Tommy La

Chief Executive Officer

Tommy La is the Chief Executive Officer of Lumiture, bringing over 20 years of experience in data, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology consulting. He has a proven track record of advising Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies on enterprise data strategies, large-scale analytics programs, and digital transformation initiatives. Renowned for his thought leadership in the field, Tommy has served as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, helping them build high-performing teams and achieve mission-critical outcomes. His results-driven approach and strategic vision have consistently delivered measurable impact throughout his career.

Before founding Lumiture, Tommy had a distinguished career at Accenture Federal Services, where he served as Managing Director from 2018 to 2025. In this role, he managed a portfolio exceeding $100 million in annual revenue and led a team of over 900 data and AI practitioners. He spearheaded major nationwide initiatives, including the data platforms for the 2020 U.S. Decennial Census and President Biden’s Loan Forgiveness program, driving critical digital solutions in support of these national priorities. During his Accenture tenure, Tommy also provided strategic guidance to client executives, collaborating with CxOs to develop multi-year digital strategies and ensure successful program delivery.

Joe Trefilek

Chief Technology Officer

Joe is the Chief Technology Officer of Lumiture, bringing deep expertise in cloud architecture, data engineering, and federal technology modernization. He has a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale data systems, cloud migration initiatives, and mission-critical applications for federal agencies. Known for his hands-on technical leadership, Joe guides teams through complex modernization efforts while maintaining a commitment to engineering excellence and innovative problem-solving. His architectural expertise and systematic approach have consistently enabled agencies to transform legacy systems into modern, scalable platforms.

Before co-founding Lumiture, Joe served as a technical leader at Accenture Federal Services for over 15 years. In this role, he architected enterprise data solutions and led complex delivery initiatives for agencies including the U.S. Census Bureau, Department of Education, and NOAA. He designed high-performance data pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and analytics platforms that processed massive datasets for critical government missions. During his Accenture tenure, Joe also provided technical guidance on cloud strategy and modernization roadmaps, ensuring successful delivery of sophisticated data and cloud infrastructure projects, and supported efforts to enhance customer experience through data and AI.
